Mediation

Mediation is an alternative form of dispute resolution. Selina J. Shultz, Esquire is a partner in Bunde, Gillotti, Mulroy & Shultz, P.C. Ms. Shultz is also the principal mediator of Shultz Mediation Services.   Ms. Shultz completed her initial mediation certification training with internationally recognized Robert Benjamin in 1997.  She was immediately appointed as a custody mediator for the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.  After her private mediation practice continued to grow, Ms. Shultz decided to limit her practice to mediation.  In 2005, Shultz expanded her practice to include civil cases.  She obtained her advance civil mediation training through Pepperdine University's School of Law Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, which is the highest ranked training in the country.  In 2007, she was appointed as an approved mediator for the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

Ms. Shultz has mediated over 800 private and court appointed cases.  She continues to receive advanced mediation training annually.  She is a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution and has participated with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee of the Allegheny County Bar Association.  Shultz regularly served as a trainer for the Generations Program Peer Review for the mediators of the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.
